Located adjacent to Wanjin International Plaza, Wuchang Railway Station is one of the four major railway hubs and six major railway passenger transportation centers in China. Its railway passenger flow, logistics, and traffic are among the top in the country, ranking first among inland cities and on par with Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Trains departing from Wuchang Station lead to various parts of the country, providing direct access to provincial capitals and important prefecture level cities in mainland China. Wuchang Railway Station is the terminal station of Wuhan Metro Line 4 Phase I project and also a transfer station between Line 4, Line 7, and Line 11. Line 4 of the station passes through the north side of Wuchang Railway Station, spanning Zhongshan Road and highway tunnels. The western end of the station is located below the tram yard, and the eastern end is the bus hub yard. Part of Line 7 of the station is located along the east side of Zhongshan Road, with Wuchang Railway Station, Bus Station, Zhangzhidong Road, Qianjiajie Hongji (Passenger Station/Wuchang Railway Station), and Zhongshan Road.
